Transitional Age Youth (TAY)

Wondering what the future might look like for your teen?

Wondering what the future might look like for your son or daughter, or looking for programs to enhance skills or expand their social circle? The Transitional Aged Youth program is available for youth ages 14 to 21 with developmental support needs.

At CLH Developmental Support Services we are committed to empowering youth with developmental support needs to make informed decisions and be successful when they leave secondary school by providing options, skills, and a circle of community resources and connections.

Our Transitional Aged Youth (TAY) Coordinators work with the student, family, and the school to help map out life after secondary school, identifying the steps to suitably prepare the student to be successful as an adult. After-school programming aimed at enhancing skills and building social circles for TAY is available throughout the year through CLH DSS.

How to Access

Access to these services can be arranged through the high school at your Transition Planning Meeting. These meetings begin in Grade 9 and are done yearly.
