CHILDREN’S SUPPORT SERVICES

Services for Families with Children Under 12

Children Support Services provides a range of services and supports to families of children with developmental support needs within Simcoe County to help them develop to their fullest potential.

Children Support Services consists of the Simcoe County Resource Consultation Services, Ontario Autism Programs, and Quality Inclusive Support Services. We have office locations across Simcoe County, including Collingwood, Alliston, Bradford, Barrie, Orillia, and Midland.

Early Childhood Educators and Staff

All services are free and funded through either the County of Simcoe or the Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services.

Services may be available by French-speaking professionals or interpreters.

Services may be adapted to meet the needs of First Nation, Métis, and Inuit families.

The Entry to School program supports children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) between the ages of three and six years old who are entering school (kindergarten or grade one) for the first time.

The Resource Consultant program supports the inclusion of children 0-12 years of age with developmental support needs who attend a licensed childcare program.

Quality Inclusive Support Services

Quality Inclusive Support Services for Licensed Childcare are provided by CLH Developmental Support Services to support quality inclusion of children with Health, Safety, and/or Mobility needs attending both Non-Profit and For-Profit Licensed Childcare Centres.
